World football

The Wembley stadium appeared in its pre-eminent form before Manchester City and Watford were due to play in the FA Cup final on Friday evening.

Manchester City aspire to the historic trio by adding the UEFA Cup to the series of local tournaments crowned this season, a feat that has never been achieved by another club in England.

Manchester City's chances of beating Watford in the FA Cup are the best, having tasted the team in the last 14 league games and beat Watford back and forth in the league.

Manchester City booked their place in the FA Cup final after beating Brighton 2-0 in the semi-final, while Watford beat Wolverhampton 3-2 after extra time.
