Dr. Mamdouh El-Sebaie, head of the Central Administration of Agricultural Pest Control, said that the program dealt with a detailed explanation of the process of coding the farms and withdrawing the samples from the entry of the crop in the truck and all the stages until the end of the packaging operations. He added that the session was attended by 40 engineers and orchards at the level of the centers of the province of Qalioubia, explaining that the system was reviewed for the coding of farms and the number of data farms of agricultural production during all agricultural practices for the stages of production from the preparation of agriculture to the circulation of the crop until the harvest and harvesting through applications Safe use of pesticides.
He explained that the training program dealt with many important topics about the basic steps for the analysis of plant samples in order to estimate the percentage of pesticide residues. The samples analysis laboratories were inspected on the ground for the purpose of opening new markets for Egyptian products in Arab and foreign countries.
Sibai stressed that the coding of the farms is aimed at the numbering of agricultural farm production data during all the agricultural practices of the production stages from the preparation of agriculture to the handling of the harvest and the harvesting of the crop through the application of the safe use of pesticides according to the technical recommendations prepared by the Pesticides Committee for pesticide use.
He added that the coding aims at benefiting from the water and land resources of the inputs of agricultural production, which is reflected in the application of practices to rationalize the consumption of irrigation water, fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural fertilizers according to the criteria set by the Ministry of Agriculture to produce safe food and standardize quality for both domestic consumption and export.
He stressed that the Ministry of Agriculture is working to control the export system for agricultural crops to ensure the application of good practices in agriculture. He pointed out that the specialized research institutes, together with the Central Laboratory for Residues Analysis of Pesticides and Heavy Metals in Food, draw samples of farm fruits before harvesting and harvesting. Examined and analyzed to ensure that they meet the necessary conditions in terms of quality, pest control, residues of pesticides and toxic substances.
The head of the Central Department of Pest Control said that the committee supervising the coding follow the commitment of the farm to apply the conditions and the existence of records of the farm and its commitment to the results of the examination and analysis of samples under which these authorities issue a certificate of validity for this product for domestic consumption or direct export or transfer to the preparation station, Certificate under the name of "good Egyptian agricultural operations known as EGY-GAP"It shall be approved by the Chairman of the SPS Committee represented by all the competent authorities in the Ministry of Agriculture after signing it from the Supervisory and Follow-up Committee, provided that it is considered the supreme management of the system.
Al-Sibai pointed out that the coding system for the farms aims to control the application of the system of production, preparation and testing of fresh vegetables and fruits to be exportable. The filling station for a specific product shall be approved by the Agricultural Quarantine Committee and the General Organization for Export and Import Control, With the Export Council of Agricultural Crops.
