Tomorrow, SpaceX launches 60 satellites within Starlink to spread the Internet around the world
SpaceX is set to launch 60 satellites on Thursday under an initiative known as Starlink, which aims to spread the Internet around the world, after being postponed on Thursday, May 16.
According to the US website The Verge, there have been several attempts to launch the Starlink initiative last week, but it has been suspended due to heavy winds, and another attempt has been scheduled but later postponed to update programs and conduct additional checks.
Thursday is the third attempt by SpaceX to launch its satellites.
SpaceX aims to install up to 12,000 satellites in orbit, while Elon Musk, chief executive of the company, said they initially needed to launch 400 satellites to provide simple coverage at first.
