The court decided on Sunday to postpone the second trial of 47 defendants in the case of "storming the Department of Evacuation" for the June 11 session to attend the defendants.
On July 5, 2018, the Court of Cassation overturned the sentences of 47 defendants in the case and decided to retry them to another chamber.
On November 5, 2016, the Criminal Court of Cairo, headed by Counselor Mohamed Shirin Fahmy, sentenced the accused to 15 years imprisonment for 21 accused, 10 years imprisonment for 15 accused, 7 years for 11 accused and 10 million and 101 thousand pounds for damages. And placed the sentenced under police control for five years after serving the prescribed sentence.
The prosecution assigned to the accused several charges, including gathering and bullying and the murder of a number of officers and security personnel of the Department of Tebeen, setting fire to the building and burning its contents, trying to smuggle prisoners, possession and possession of firearms and white and joining a group contrary to the law.
