Symposium of Faisal Book Fair: Soft powers have a role in the victories of the tenth of Ramadan
In the context of the cultural activity accompanying the eighth book fair organized by the Egyptian General Book Organization, headed by Dr. Haitham Al Haj Ali, during the period from 8 to 18 Ramadan in the land of the Authority Faisal Street, held on Wednesday, 10 Ramadan Seminar entitled "War of the tenth of Ramadan lessons and through, Al-Mahdi, Major General Mahmoud Metwally, Dr. Eman Amer, and Dr. Khalaf Al Miri.
"The spirit of victory is a sure choice. That was the dominant idea. In 1968, Egypt was able to invent an air defense system," said Major General Tareq al-Mahdi.
Major General Mahmoud Metwally spoke of the naval forces and said: In the 1967 war, the navy is the only unarmed weapon. The naval forces have many achievements. In the October war, President Sadat assigned the naval forces with two goals. And the maritime forces carried out that to the fullest extent, pointing out that the Arab countries had a great role in the October war as "Yemen, Sudan and Libya, as well as Pakistan."
Dr. Eman Amer said: Defending the tenth of Ramadan is to defend the homeland and identity with attempts to obliterate and diminish our victories, and this is a kind of war that is exposed to our Egypt and to make the youth aware.
She spoke about social life in wartime, about the role of youth and the role of women, organizing points of blood donation and the standing of the people alongside the army. She also spoke about the role of soft power and arts such as national songs, theater, cinema and drama, which also played a role in preserving the events of the October War New generations.
In the framework of the artistic activity, the national band of Arabic music affiliated with the art house participated in the folk arts and gave a religious song, including the song of O Muhammad, peace be upon him, and the night and the beautiful names of Allah. The band received a large audience from the audience.
