"Solidarity of the Parliament": The draft law of the Women's Support Fund is in line with state policy
The Social Solidarity Committee of the House of Representatives discussed on Thursday the draft law of the Egyptian Women's Support Fund, presented by Dr. Abdel Hady El-Kassabi, chairman of the Egyptian Support Coalition and the Chairman of the Committee, and more than ten members of the Council.
MP Abdul Hadi Al Qasbi said that the draft law of the Egyptian Women's Support Fund aims at providing economic and social support to Egyptian women so that society benefits from its efforts and comes in recognition of the role of women in society.
Al-Qasabi added that Egyptian women received great attention from the state, support from the political leadership and support of the Egyptian parliament. The law criminalized women's deprivation of inheritance and civil service law, which affirmed women's right to a maternity leave for 4 months, , And the state put the women's strategy 2030. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi considered 2017 the year of women, ratified the law of organizing the National Council of Women, and then came the amendment of the Constitution, which provided for the allocation of 25% of the seats of the Council of Representatives for women.
He explained that the draft law consists of 3 articles of issue and 14 articles divided into three chapters. The first chapter includes the definitions, 16 definitions of the definition of women and others, and separation from the establishment of the fund and its terms of reference. The project aims to provide health care for women and provide support and community support for projects dedicated to women. Political empowerment, pointing out that this law is specific to the support of women, and that the Committee will receive the comments of deputies on it.
