The General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum explained that the exact date of the opening day was decided for political sovereignty in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the obligations of the invited kings and presidents, but we are entrusted with ending the work geographically and ethically on June 30, 2020.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministerial Committee held its fourth meeting, two days ago, to follow up the plans of the development projects of the two areas of the Great Egyptian Museum of Shooting, the National Museum of Egyptian civilization in Fustat and the area of the ruins of Saqqara.
The Committee pointed out the importance of these projects for the development and upgrading of the efficiency of the services provided to visitors and citizens as it represents a cultural shift in these areas.
During the meeting, a number of points were discussed regarding the development projects, including a presentation of the development of the area around the Great Egyptian Museum, which included the entrance of the Egyptian Museum and the raising of the efficiency of the circular road and the houses and views leading to it. Some cafeterias, restaurants, bazaars and toilets are on the way, while preserving the historical character of the area.
They also discussed the preliminary vision of the project to improve the efficiency and development of the area surrounding the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to improve the efficiency of the main streets and bridges surrounding it, as well as the development of Lake Ein Al-Sira area and the establishment of a tourist area, and the establishment of some recreational activities of restaurants and cafeterias And tourists. The Commission will finalize the finalization of these areas within 15 days and will be discussed during the next Committee meeting.
