Secretary of "religious parliament" calls for the adoption of the law to organize the fatwa to confront the fatwas of extremism
MP Omar Hamroush, Secretary of the Committee on Religious Affairs and Endowments in the House of Representatives, called for discussing the draft law to organize the general fatwa in the plenary session of the House of Representatives for approval before the end of the current fourth session, which is nearing completion.
Hamroush said that there is an urgent need to issue a law that regulates the fatwa and sets out its rules and powers to issue fatwas and grant permits to the source of fatwa, which is regulated by the draft law discussed by the religious affairs committee.
Hamroush added that the draft law regulating the general fatwa will face abnormal and extreme fatwas and set penalties for those who issue fatwas from non-specialists to prevent confusion and sedition in society.
