Pokemon develops a game designed for "sleeping" players and turning it into entertainment
Japan's Pokemon Games announced Wednesday that it will launch a new smartphone game in 2020 aimed at "sleeping players," unlike the Pokemon Joe game, which rewards players for their physical activity.
The Pokemon Sleep game aims to turn sleep into "entertainment" by recording when players go to bed, wake up and sleep at any time of the day, and more details will be revealed at a later date, the company said.
For its part, Nintendo announced that it will start selling a new version of Pokemon Joe Plus, which players can pair with their smart phones so they do not have to watch screens all the time.
The device will have the added function of tracking players' sleep time and sending data to their smartphones when placed next to their cushions.
