The General Administration of Student Welfare at Minia University organized a ceremony to conclude the student activities for the academic year 2018/2019, as a tribute to the achievements of the administration during the year of the student activities and to get the first positions at the level of the Egyptian universities.

Dr. Abu Bakr Mohiuddin, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, deans of the faculties and their agents, Dr. Hany El-Araby, Advisor to the President of the University for student activities, Dr. Bassem Abdel- Secretary General of the University, Walid Abdul Qani, Director General of Student Welfare, Coordinator of Activities in Colleges, Directorates of Departments of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and Activity Specialist and Supervisors, Directors of Students' Welfare Offices in Colleges and University Students.

During the ceremony, a documentary film was presented by the Media Center at the university about the achievements of the administration during the past year and a musical paragraph presented by the music and choir team at the Faculty of Specific Education. The ceremony was concluded by honoring the university students union and outstanding students.

The university president thanked the students' work battalion in the public administration and colleges, which came as a result of the implementation of a realistic plan of action in which all efforts were exerted to reach these impressive results. He added that the university has provided great support to student activities this year reaching more than 2 million pounds, In addition to the opening of a specialized center for the first time in the Egyptian universities, to be a pillar of interest and support for university students from the disability.

Dr. Abdul Nabi said that the student activities are an integral part of the educational process in the university and one of the letters of the university to carry out its educational role to build the personality of the university student in an integrated building through practicing student activities that contribute to satisfying his tendencies and adopting his talents and abilities. He added that as a result of the University's support for student activity and encouraging students to participate in student activities, the number of students participating in the activities organized by the General Administration and the student welfare offices in the faculties of the university reached 40000 students this year, Representing 65% of the total number of university students, which is an unprecedented achievement for student participation in the university.

For his part, Waleed Abdul Qani said that the General Administration of Student Welfare participated in 187 internal and internal competitions. This year, for the first time, the General Shield of Scientific Activity was awarded to the 12th Egyptian University Youth Week at Kafr El-Sheikh University, The first place in the squash championship "teams" and the first level in the field of mobility and General blood, second in Pentathlon football, graphics and sculpture specialist in Kafr El-Sheikh.

Dr. Hany Al-Arabi stressed that this year included the organization of several educational and awareness seminars for college students on political development, strengthening national and national awareness, and deepening the foundations of patriotism, which ended with the election of the student unions to be a platform for students to guarantee their freedom of expression.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, a scientific exhibition was organized for students' innovative projects, engineering and entrepreneurship. The President handed over the cups of excellence in the student activities carried out during the year in social and sports activities for students, cultural, artistic, scientific and mobile activities.
