Manchester City frustrate Liverpool's historic season and crown the English Premier League
Manchester City won the English Premier League title for the sixth time in their history and the second in a row, after beating Brighton on Wednesday 4/1, at the end of the Premier League.
Manchester City moved up to 98 points, one point behind second-placed Liverpool, who beat Wolverhampton 2-0 at the same time.
Brighton took the lead through Glenn Murray in the 27th minute and Manchester City drew 1-1 with Sergio Aguero and Emeric Laporte scored the second goal of the game in the 38th minute, ending the first half with a 2-1 lead.
In the second half, City added two goals through Riyad Mehrez and Elkay Gundogan in the 63rd and 72th minutes to qualify for the title.
