In the context of the cultural activity accompanying the eighth book fair organized by the Egyptian General Book Organization, during the period from 8 to 18 Ramadan in the land of the Authority Faisal Street, held on Sunday, 14 Ramadan, a seminar entitled "Egypt and the African Union Ramadan with African eyes."

The symposium dealt with the Ramadan rites and the most famous popular dishes in the month of Ramadan, and participated by Fatima Zahra of Algeria, and Sharif Bandari, and Marwa Sharif, and from Sudan Abeer Ansari

Speaking about the customs, traditions and cultures of the countries of Africa, Libya, Algeria and Sudan, the common denominator of these peoples is the language of love, but each country has its rituals and customs during Ramadan. The most popular customs in Libya, Egypt and Tunisia are the exchange of family visits and gatherings.

Marwa El-Sherif gave a poem about the Arab peoples entitled "Together on the Road". Fatima Zahra spoke from Algeria. She said: "The spiritual atmosphere prevails over the country."

On Ramadan meals, she said that the first day to find dates and milk in every house in Algeria, soup and hreira, adding that in Ramadan they exchange visits and meet every day in a house of family and friends.

In the artistic activity, the Sohag group of Arab music participated and presented a number of songs including Ramash Einah, Helt Layaly, and in the activity of the child, a Ramadan Lantern workshop, a paperwork workshop and a folk story workshop with writer Ahmed Zaham were held and a workshop for educational methods in the songs and stories of the child with Dr. Jihan Salam, and Ayal's workshop with Dr. Mohamed Shehata.
