Under the demands of the parliament, to discuss the law of organizing the general fatwa, which was approved by the religious committee in the House of Representatives, during the last session, in response to the fatwas issued by Salafis and Islamic currents, "Day 7" monitors the most important information about the law and the penalties contained therein.

1 – The law prohibits in any way to address the general fatwa only if it was issued by the senior scholars of Al – Azhar, the Egyptian House of Ifta or the Islamic Research Academy or the General Department of Fatwa at the Ministry of Awqaf, and who is licensed to do so by the mentioned authorities.

2. The law stipulates that the imams, preachers, teachers of Al-Azhar University and members of the teaching staff at Al-Azhar University must perform the tasks of preaching and general religious guidance to show the worshipers and the general Muslims the matters of their religion.

3- The law restricting the practice of the general fatwa through the media to those authorized by the authorities mentioned in Article 1.

4. Violation of the provisions of this law shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months and a fine not exceeding five thousand pounds or one of these penalties.

5. The law stipulates that in the event of a return in violation of its provisions, the penalty shall be imprisonment and a fine of not less than ten thousand pounds. "
