"Health of Suez" raises the degrees of extreme readiness to cope with heat stress

Dr. Mohamed Youssef Abdel Khaliq, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Suez, said that the degree of readiness for the maximum degree in the hospitals of Suez Governorate to cope with the current heat wave, stressing the readiness of hospitals to receive cases of heat stress.

He added that the heat stress occurs as a result of the loss of the body a large amount of fluids and salts when exposed to the hot atmosphere for a long time, especially when a hard effort, which leads to disruption of the functions of the body.

The general symptoms of the affected cases are heat stress in dizziness, imbalance, nausea with severe sweating, frostbite and coldness in the body, acute muscle contraction and pain, general weakness with pulse speed, breathing, vision disturbances, and thirst sensation with low blood pressure.

He advised the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Suez to wear light and loose cotton clothes with light colors, avoid artificial fibers, avoid exposure to direct sunlight especially at noon, And health units.
