Expert: The Brotherhood's announcement to continue with Congress to face a terrorist declaration reflects its fears

Accidents

Hisham al-Najjar, an expert on Islamic groups, said Ibrahim Mounir, deputy leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, said the group's efforts to reach out to Congress and US circles to counter the decision to classify the Brotherhood as a terrorist group in America meant that efforts by the current administration were serious.

He stressed that the Brotherhood and its contacts and elements close to the decision-making centers there confirmed that Washington is determined to take this important decision.

Al-Najjar pointed out that Mounir's remarks reflect that the issue is still under deliberation and discussion, and there seems to be a split around it, so the group is currently seeking to strengthen and support the rejectionist party to classify the group as terrorist.
