Deputy General Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia reveals the conditions of residence in the Kingdom

Adel Hanafy, Vice President of the General Union of Egyptians Abroad and official spokesman in Saudi Arabia, said that the Saudi Council of Ministers decided to approve the special residency system decree no. (521) dated 9 Ramadan 1440H. The holder of this residence is to reside in the Kingdom with his family, And the acquisition of domestic labor according to its needs, and the ownership of real estate for residential, commercial and industrial purposes, except for the cities of Mecca and Medina border areas, as determined by the Regulations.
Hanafi said that the residency system granted the holder of the residence the possession of real estate for residential, commercial and industrial purposes except for the real estate located in the cities of Makkah and Madinah, which is entitled to use for 99 years, provided that the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Trade and Investment necessary mechanisms, On an instrument of utilization issued by the Notary Public.
Such right shall be enforceable by transfer to others in accordance with the regulations established by the Committee .
The owner of the residence shall also be entitled to own means of transport, any other movable property that may be purchased in the Kingdom, as well as work in private sector establishments and the transfer thereof, including members of his family, except for occupations and work prohibited by non-Saudi nationals without prejudice to the fees imposed on Non-Saudi.
The holder of this residence shall also be granted the freedom to leave the Kingdom and return to it independently, and to use the corridors allocated to the Saudis at the time of entry into and out of the Kingdom and to engage in business in accordance with the foreign investment system.
He added that the distinctive residence system specified the types according to the following:
· Unlimited duration .
· For one year renewable.
A special residence permit is required :
· Submit a valid passport .
· The applicant must be at least 21 years of age .
· Provide evidence of the financial solvency of the applicant .
· Submit a criminal record proving that the applicant is free of precedents.
· Submit a health report on the health status of the applicant proves that he is free of communicable diseases, not exceeding 6 months from the date of application.
· The residence of the applicant shall be developing if he is ahead of the Kingdom .
· The Committee may, where appropriate, add special conditions in cases where this is required .
The official spokesman concluded: The cases in which the special residence is canceled are:
· Conviction of a resident who is characterized by a crime punishable by imprisonment for a period not less than 60 days or a fine not less than 100 thousand riyals or the equivalent thereof .
· Issuing a judicial decision or decision to deport the distinguished resident of the Kingdom .
· It has been shown that the application for a special residence has included incorrect information.
Non-compliance by the holder of the distinctive residence with his obligations to the system and regulations, and other regulations and instructions in force in the Kingdom .
· Waiver of the distinguished residence holder .
· The death or incapacity of the special residence holder .
The cancellation or termination of a special residence does not entail the transfer of the rights and benefits that it has received to the family .
Special residency does not entitle the holder to the right to Saudi citizenship.
