Deputy: Encouraging domestic component in industry helps reduce imports

Samir al-Batikhi, a member of the Industry Committee of the House of Representatives, said that the government's tendency to maximize the local product in industry is an important step in the right direction, pointing out that the local component of industry will lead to increased investments in Egypt and open the door to more job opportunities.

He added that the domestic product of the industry will help to provide a great value and a good image of the industry in Egypt, in addition to it will provide the hard currency spent by the state to get the imports needed from abroad.
