Algeria coach aims to crown the nations of Africa 2019 Egypt
Algerian coach Jamal Belmadi reiterated that the goal of the Greens in the African Cup of Nations was to win the Alcan title.
"The first goal for the Greens is to go beyond the group phase and then fight in every game to win the title," Belmadi said in remarks published by the Algerian newspaper Al-Hadaf. "Algeria's participation in the Alcan will not be for taking pictures, but for fighting to return to the continental crown.
On the first round of the competition, Belmadi said that the third group is balanced in that they include the team of Mondialia, a candidate for the title of Senegalese national team, stressing that he studied well all the competitors in the group.
Algeria are in Group C, which includes Senegal, Kenya and Tanzania. The Greens will start their campaign in Cannes on June 23 against Kenya.
