A government decision to abolish the National Council for Combating and Treating Addiction and transferring its responsibilities to the Fund

Policy

The Council of Ministers has approved a decision to abolish the National Council for Combating and Treating Addiction, in the framework of the efforts exerted in the context of the administrative reform steps to achieve efficiency and efficiency and the desire to unite the competent authorities to combat and treat addiction and to save the financial burdens placed on the state budget.

Based on the decision of the Prime Minister issued to abolish the Presidential Decree No. 450 of 1986 to form the National Council for the fight against addiction treatment, and the Fund to combat and treatment of addiction and abuse the powers of the National Council to combat and treat addiction.

The decision stipulates that all fixed and movable assets and all the rights and obligations of the National Council for Combating and Treatment of Addiction shall be transferred to the National Center for Social and Criminal Research. The Council shall also transfer all employees of the Council to the Center in the same grades and seniorities as they hold on the date of this decision. As well as the transfer of the budget allocated to the Council in the State Budget for the fiscal year 2019/2020 to the budget of the National Center for Social and Criminal Research, and to spend on studies and research.
