World football

Morocco's Ouadad Casablanca striker Mohamed Onagem has launched a violent attack on the African Football Confederation (CAF) following the events in his side's match against Esperance in the African Champions League final.

Mohamed Onagem said that what happened in the Moroccan Wydad Casablanca and the Tunisian match at the Rades stadium confirms the spread of bribery and match-fixing in the continent, describing what happened yesterday as a "farce".

"In Rades I realized that African football is still dominated by the buying and selling process, it is good that this farce has appeared in front of everyone, in Morocco in the first leg we turned a blind eye to a bunch of things," Mohamed Onagem told Magharebia. "We did not withdraw, but we won our dignity and we refused to continue the game. What happened was terrible, unprecedented and unprecedented."

"We no longer want to continue on this continent, we want to move to Asia," he added.

The match was suspended in the 61st minute, demanding the players to return to the video technique, to explore the validity of the goal scored by Moroccan star Walid Karti, and canceled the referee for infiltration, when the result (1-0) for Esperance.

About an hour and a half after the break, Jamaican referee Bakari Gassama fired the final whistle as Wydad was withdrawn, following a decision by the African Football Confederation (CAF).
