"Top Media": our final evaluation of the drama after the holiday of Eid al-Fitr
Dr. Hoda Zakaria, member of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, said that the drama committee of the council will meet after the end of Eid al-Fitr holiday to issue its final report, including evaluation of dramas presented during Ramadan.
She added that the monitoring committee followed up all the offers during the month of Ramadan, stressing that any violation monitored in any drama or advertising during Ramadan, will be dealt with in accordance with the penalties prescribed by the Council, in order to preserve the values and ethics of the community.
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation has set 18 criteria for dramas and advertisements on screens and radio stations, most notably the commitment to moral codes, professional standards and public morals, respect for the viewer's mind, respect for the values and ethics of society, and the provision of works that contain fun and knowledge, Beauty in society, and the commitment of the screens to the professional and ethical standards in the works, both serials or advertisements.
The Council demanded, according to his previous statement, the production companies drama, television channels, the need to take into account the values and traditions and ethics in the advertisements, serials and programs, and abide by the controls and standards adopted by the Council.
