The religious committee in the parliament recommended the furnishing of mosques in Matrouh and inclusion in the plan
The Religious Affairs and Endowments Committee of the House of Representatives held a meeting on Monday morning under the chairmanship of Deputy Amani Aziz, the committee's deputy, to discuss my request related to the needs of some mosques.
The Committee discussed the request for a briefing by MP Salah Ayad in Matruh governorate, regarding the lack of brushes of many mosques in the cities of Al-Hamam, Al-Damain, Dabaa and Siwa in Matrouh Governorate, in spite of applying to the Ministry of Awqaf for mattresses. He called for supporting the Ministry of Awqaf and preparing an urgent plan for the mosques of Matrouh.
Jabir Taya, head of the religious sector in the Ministry of Awqaf, responded to the request of the deputy of Matrouh, stressing that there are some mosques in Matrouh listed in plan number 12 of the ministry this year.
Amani Aziz, the head of the session, said that the committee recommends available mattresses from the mosques of Mersi Matruh province, where it is from the tourist provinces, as said Dr. Omar Hamroush, Secretary of the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Matrouh province is vast and must support the ministry to the province of Matrouh.
The Committee also considered a request for clarification from MP Hisham Al-Husri about the collapse of the ceiling of Al-Ezba mosque in Sudqa village in Tami Al-Amadeed district in Dakahlia governorate, which resulted in the injury of 20 citizens in February. The deputy waived the request because one person donated the completion and restoration of the mosque.
Jabir Taya, head of the religious sector at the Ministry of Awqaf, said that even with a benevolent donation, the construction of mosques must be under engineering supervision.
