The Official Gazette publishes the decision to issue a law regulating the Federation of Industries and its various chambers

The Official Gazette published in its issue no. 21 bis (A) on May 28, 2019, the decision of the House of Representatives to issue Law No. 70 of 2019 promulgated the law regulating the Federation of Egyptian Industries and Chambers of Industry.

The first article states that "The provisions of the law shall apply to the organization of the Federation of Egyptian Industries and Industrial Chambers. Article 2 The Federation of Egyptian Industries established in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 21 of 1985 regarding the organization and encouragement of industry shall continue to be in force. As set forth in Article 2 of the Law, within three months from the date of the implementation of the provisions of the law. "

Article 3 "The Board of Directors of the Federation of Industries and the Boards of Directors of the existing industrial chambers shall continue to be formed on the date of implementation of this law for one year following the end of its 2016-2019 electoral cycle. The next session shall be held in accordance with the provisions of the law and its executive regulations."

Article (28) of Law No. 21 of 1981 concerning the regulation and encouragement of industry, and Decree No. 33 of 1958 of the President of the Republic on the establishment of Regional Councils for Industry are hereby repealed. The President's Decree No. 425 of 1958, regulating the Union of Industries, 453 for the year 1958 to establish industrial chambers, and any text contrary to the provisions of this law. "

Article 5 "The Prime Minister shall issue the executive regulations of the law based on the presentation of the competent minister on industrial affairs within six months from the date of its implementation. Until such sanctions are issued, the regulations and decisions currently in force shall continue to be in effect not inconsistent with the provisions of this law.

Article 6 This Law shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the day following its publication on May 28, 2019.
