The Court of Cassation accepted the appeal submitted by the accused Ashraf Mohamed Issa and, in the correction of the sentence, the abolition of the death penalty against him and sentenced him to life imprisonment in the case of storming the Kerdasa police station.
The Giza Criminal Court sentenced the defendant to death, but he appealed to the Court of Cassation alone.
The Prosecution of Northern Giza, headed by Counselor Mohamed Abaza, referred the 23 defendants to the Criminal Court for crimes of storming the Karadasa police station, gathering, intentional destruction, vandalism, influence on public officials, murder and attempted murder, use of force and violence with police officers, Weapons and violence.
