President of ITIDA: Application of electronic signature among citizens coinciding with digital transformation

Hala El-Gohary, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ITIDA, said that the digital transformation is in stages. The Ministry of Communications, in collaboration with other ministries, is working on the necessary infrastructure for this transformation. The role of ITIDA in the digital transformation focuses on the electronic signature. A broader scope in the next phase through close cooperation between the TRA and the Ministry of Communications to support the digital transformation via electronic signature.

Al-Juhari said in a special statement to the "Seventh Day" that many parties in the country are using the electronic signature and there are many projects that have been completed, but in the coming period we aim to publish the electronic signature to a broad base of citizens with digital transformation.

Al-Juhari said that ITIDA was the first to implement the electronic signature not only inside Egypt but also outside it. An agreement was signed between an Egyptian licensed company and a Saudi company during the visit of the Saudi Minister of Communications to Egypt last April, indicating that the electronic signature exists But it will be further disseminated in conjunction with digital transformation processes and more in cooperation with other countries.
