MP Humam al-Adli, chairman of the House of Representatives' Suggestions and Complaints Committee, said that the state under President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi took over the development of slums as a priority.

Al-Adly added that the state has achieved a big boom in the development of slums, and everyone saw thousands of citizens move from the living of non-human slums to equipped housing units. These achievements have been achieved on the ground.

"We hope to see Egypt as soon as free of slums, and that will be achieved because there is a real will of the state to eliminate the slums," said Hammam al-Adli.
