"National Women" in Beni Suef: We did not receive any harassment reports during the Eid celebrations
Narmeen Abdel Azim, a member of the National Council for Women in Beni Suef Governorate, said that the operations room of the branch did not receive any reports from women or girls about sexual harassment during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, whether from Beni Suef or the seven administrative centers.
She added that the massive deployment of regular police and secret informants in the streets and squares, in the vicinity of gardens and public parks and inside, has contributed significantly to reducing the phenomenon of sexual harassment or verbal, in light of the mass rallies that took place throughout the province during the celebration of the day of thought.
She explained that the council formed an operating room in its headquarters on the Corniche of the Nile to receive complaints of harassment during the Eid, over the course of 12 hours from 9 am to 9 pm, via the number 15115 hotline designated for this purpose .
The National Women's Council, chaired by Dr. Maya Morsi, is working hard to combat all forms of violence against women, providing social and legal support to women and girls as they seek legal action, and continuing cooperation with the Anti-Violence Unit And the affiliated units in the security directorates in the governorates .
