Barcelona's Lionel Messi was crowned the top scorer of the European Champions League this season with 12 goals, with the end of the championship on Saturday evening, crowned Liverpool team title at the expense of Tottenham, winning by 2 – 0.

It is the sixth time that the Argentine star Lionel Messi crowned Barcelona player the title of top scorer of the Champions League.

Messi won the title of top scorer of the Champions League in the seasons of 2008 – 2009 with 9 goals, 2009 – 2010 8 goals, 2010 – 2011 12 goals, 2011 – 2012 14 goals and the season 2014 – 2015 10 goals.

Barcelona have been given the title of Champions League this season of semi-final against Liverpool champion.
