Liverpool star Nabi Keita asks to participate in friendly Egypt and Guinea

Nigeria midfielder Nabi Keita has asked Liverpool to participate in the friendly against Egypt on Sunday as they prepare for the 2019 African Nations Cup, which will be held from June 21 to July 19.

Boute Kote, the technical director of the Guinea team, told French football website Voet 224 that Nabi Keita will join the squad in Morocco in the next few hours after he has revealed his recovery from the injury that has put him out of practice since early May.

Guinea coach Nabi Keita told him he was ready to take part in Guinea's friendly against Egypt while he would miss Benin's friendly match on Tuesday.

Guinea will play in Group B of the African Nations Cup with Burundi, Madagascar and Nigeria.
