LE 1.6 billion Egypt's cotton exports to 19 countries, most notably India, America and Saudi Arabia

An official report issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics [CAPMAS] revealed that Egypt exported more than 765.7 thousand quintals of cotton to 19 countries worth 1.648 billion pounds during the first half of the current agricultural season 18/2019.

The first half of the current agricultural season for the period from September 2018 to February 2019 indicates the equivalent of 50 g of cotton kantar.

The statistical report, obtained by the seventh day, showed that one of the most importing countries for Egyptian cotton during the period mentioned is India, America and Saudi Arabia. India came at the top of Egypt's cotton importers with a value of LE 735.8 million for quantities exceeding 330.5 thousand quintals metric.

While the value of Egypt's exports of cotton to Saudi Arabia, 3.6 million pounds, the Kingdom imported about 1601 quintals of Egyptian cotton, and the quantities exported to the United States, the maximum 2775 quintals metric, worth 7.6 million pounds.

– Slovenia, imported 17,283 thousand cotton quintals from Egypt worth 13.525 million pounds.

–Austria imported 2451 cotton quintals from Egypt worth 5.489 million pounds.

– Japan imported 1489 cotton quintals from Egypt worth 4.439 million pounds.

–Thailand, imported 709 cotton quintals from Egypt worth 975 thousand pounds.

– Brazil imported 2,946 thousand cotton quintals from Egypt worth LE 7.626 million.

–Mexico, imported 414 cotton quintals from Egypt worth 974 thousand pounds.

– Taiwan imported 1.937 thousand cotton quintals from Egypt worth 4.194 million pounds.
