Know the terms of reference of the Science, Technology and Innovation Finance Authority under the new law

The House of Representatives' plenary session on Sunday discussed a draft law submitted by the government to issue the law establishing the Science, Technology and Innovation Financing Authority.

Article (3) of the draft law specifies the powers and powers of the Commission:

1. Financing scientific research and technological development and encouraging the benefit of its results

2. Participate in the development of the general plan of the state

3. Support the innovative capabilities of the science and technology system

4. Support the full course of scientific research and product development

5. Support the dissemination of data and information on science and technology

6. Financing conferences and research and scientific workshops

7. Exploiting the outputs of research projects funded by the Authority

8. Financing the travel of researchers abroad

9. Management of programs for the implementation of research projects funded by others

10. Participate in funding scientific research conducted by international or regional organizations or foreign universities

11. Contracting with persons, companies, banks, local and foreign bodies in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the executive regulations without complying with the provisions of the law regulating contracts concluded by the public bodies promulgated by Law No. 182 of 2018
