How does the Center for Contracted Agriculture eliminate the crop pricing crisis?
Many members of the House of Representatives demanded the implementation of the Republican Decree No. 14 of 2015 on the establishment of the Center for Contracted Crops on the pricing of crops prior to agriculture in sufficient time to achieve profit margins for farmers, especially in strategic crops, notably wheat, maize, sugarcane, cotton and beet. Following are the details of the decision of the Center for Contracted Agriculture:
– The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation is established by a center called the Center for Contracted Agriculture
– Contractual farming is agricultural, animal, poultry or fish production.
– A contract is concluded between the producer and the purchaser under which the producer is obliged to supply according to quantities, items, quality, price and other conditions included in the contract.
– Registration of contract farming contracts when either party so requests.
– Awareness raising, extension and promotion of contractual crops.
– Developing guiding models for the contracts referred to.
– Create a database and information and make it available to those who request it from producers or other dealers in the market.
