Dr. Taha Ali, a political researcher, confirmed that the BBC has taken a historically hostile attitude towards the Egyptian state since the 1950s when it was recruited by the British government to attack the June 23, 1952 revolution and former President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

The political scientist added that the BBC was one of the tools used by Britain to face any attempts to renaissance among the Arab countries.
