"Housing MPs" agrees in principle to the law of renting premises for legal persons for non-residential purposes

The Housing Committee of the House of Representatives, chaired by Engineer Alaa Waly, approved a draft law submitted by the government on some provisions concerning the rent of legal persons for non-residential purposes. At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Alaa Waly explained to the Chairman of the Committee that the bill referred by the government addresses the gap that may occur As a result of the ruling of the Constitutional Court, explaining that the draft law deals with an amendment in the rental relationship of non-residential places of legal persons.

The members of the committee stressed that the purpose of the law is to achieve the public interest and not the interest of one category at the expense of another. The bill deals with legal persons only without ordinary persons, and this is contrary to the Constitution, which stressed the non-discrimination of one category.

The deputies demanded that there should be no distinction between legal persons and ordinary persons, and therefore the scope of the amendment must include legal persons and ordinary persons.

The Committee stressed the need for the issuance of this law and go to light until the situation stabilizes, especially in light of the ruling issued by the Constitutional Court in this regard.
