Giza silos receive 202 thousand tons of wheat during the month of May
Giza Governorate continues the work of receiving the suppliers from the suppliers in the three months of harvest, in all the silos, hanger and shun belonging to the various concerned parties throughout the governorate where the supply is to the Development Bank and the General Company for silos and mills and the Egyptian Holding Company for Food Industries .
Major General Ahmed Rashed, Governor of Giza, said that the total number of farmers supplied in all silos, hangar and shun throughout the province reached 202 thousand tons of wheat in May 2019.
Rashed pointed out that the supply works continue until the end of the harvest season, where the farmers are received from inside and outside the governorate and the quantities received after being carefully examined by the competent committees to ensure their safety and free from any fungus or humidity that may affect their quality during the storage process inside the Shun Silos and hangar, which have already been equipped to receive the elevators and store them according to the highest standards of quality .
The governor of Giza said that the work of receiving and storage is subject to strict control and that the work is followed up and periodic control of the storage places through a number of agencies headed by the Directorate of Supply and Supply to ascertain the validity of the consumption of the consumption, adding that the procurement process continues until the last batch of stocks for the mills in preparation for distribution to Ports and submission to citizens .
For his part, Hisham Kamel, director of the Directorate of Supply in Giza said that the total area cultivated in feddan amounted to 33684 acres, stressing the periodic follow-up of the supply business.
He also stressed that the current season has witnessed a high rate of farmers' demand to supply crops compared to previous years for their desire to benefit from the promotional hoof of the price differential, which was applied at 100 pounds per square meter for each degree of cleanliness in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 54 of 2019 .
