Cristiano Ronaldo, a Juventus player, said he did not care about the Golden Ball award for the best player in the world every year.

Ronaldo has the record for winning the Golden Ball, winning the title 5 times with his traditional rival Lionel Messi.

"I have done everything I have throughout my career," Ronaldo said after the Portugal-Netherlands match with the final of the European League. "My figures speak for themselves."

"Individual awards certainly help to do more, but I'm not obsessed with awards, things happen naturally."

Ronaldo is expected to compete with traditional rivals Lionel Messi and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah for the award this year with others.
