African Development Bank delegation meets Ministry of Housing officials to discuss projects between the two sides
Ministry of Housing officials met with the African Development Bank [ADB] delegation to discuss important projects on which the two sides are cooperating.
The meeting reviewed the position of the Aborwash Sewage Treatment Plant project, which is funded with a value of 150 million dollars and the implementation rate is 11%. The feasibility study of sludge treatment from Aborwash Sewage Treatment Plant, which is funded by a non-refundable grant of $ 600 thousand , And a project agreement was signed in March, and the procedures are being finalized.
The cooperation mechanism between the Ministry and the Bank was discussed in the next phase. The representatives of the African Development Bank expressed the Bank's readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Housing in supporting the participation of the private sector in the implementation of drinking water and sanitation projects. To participate in the national project for the drainage of villages in Upper Egypt, with the start in the province of Luxor, which is currently ending the procedures for the proposed agreement on them.
