The General Directorate of Environment and Surface Police has launched a large-scale security campaign aimed at combing the riverbed and prosecuting unlicensed Nile boats prior to Eid al-Fitr.

Its efforts within 24 hours in the field of combating and controlling all violations of the Environment Law (heavy smoke, loudspeakers, alarms, dumping of public roads, pollution of the Nile waterway) resulted in 381 different cases.
