The Ministry of Planning participates in the executive training course for policy makers on the 2030 agenda

The Ministry of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform, represented by Dr. Huwaida Barakat, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit, participated in the "Executive Training Course for Policymakers on the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals" held in Incheon, South Korea, organized by the United Nations Organization for Sustainable Development.

Barakat pointed out that the aim of the course is to provide policy makers in the central and local government, as well as policy makers in the private sector and civil society, with the concepts and tools needed to mainstream and implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals through their work.

Barakat also pointed out that the training course focused on a number of important topics, which included gaining knowledge and skills in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the UN goals of sustainable development and its integration into policy and how to exercise it at the national and local levels.

She also highlighted the themes of the training course, which included networking between policy makers from around the world to exchange experiences and collaborate among them, as well as learn from the best experiences, practices and risks in the implementation of the 2030 agenda and sustainable development goals with capacity building for sustainable development policies and policy formulation. .

During her participation, Huwaida Barakat discussed the experience of Egypt in presenting the national voluntary report twice in a row and how to work on this report. Barakat also highlighted the achievements of Egypt in the sustainable development plan.

Barakat said that Egypt is preparing to prepare its third national voluntary report. She also pointed to the strategy of sustainable development: Egypt's Vision 2030 in its first edition, the process of updating the vision, the reasons for updating and the main outlines of the second edition.

The participants emphasized Egypt's effective and remarkable role in the field of sustainable development. The course included providing the residents with the opportunity to present their experiences. A direct invitation was given to Egypt to explain and present its successful experience. The course also witnessed a number of requests from various countries present to effectively communicate with Egypt to guide and assist in the preparation of their voluntary report.

The training course was attended by about 70 countries from all over the world including Asian, European, Arab and African countries, including the countries of Pakistan, Argentina, Armenia, Burundi, Jordan, Nigeria, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Togo, Indonesia, Morocco, Lebanon, Jamaica, , As well as the participation of a number of institutions alongside United Nations organizations, including: Addis Ababa University, a light organization for the world, an international organization for disability and development,
