See the Islamic Art ... A wooden niche from the scene of Mrs. Rukaya
Many innovators and innovators have produced various forms of Islamic artifacts, which are characterized by intertwined colors, ornaments and inscriptions. In view of the prestige of these artifacts, the Museum of Islamic Art, which includes hundreds of Islamic artifacts, was established in the Bab al-Khalk district of Cairo.
Under the wood section, there is a wooden mihrab from the scene of Mrs. Ruqaya Misr – Fatimid era, 6th century AH / 12 AD.
It is likely that the mihrab was made in the life of the victorious caliph and his good minister Tala'i, between the years 549 – 555 AH / 1154 – 1160 AD. This is illustrated by the inscription in the kufic script in the front of the wooden mihrab .
The mihrab was adorned with four different facades, with various vegetal motifs, fine plant branches, triangular and five-pointed clusters, grape clusters, and fillings decorated with polygonal star-shaped geometric shapes, and the beginnings of incomplete star dishes in the Fatimid era.
It is noteworthy that the works of art exposed Museum, rich, and the most important holdings displayed items of textiles and carpets, stones, ivory, ceramics, wood, metals, glass, manuscripts, coins, jewelry, and weapons.
