Postponement of the retrial of the defendants in the Al-Warraq terrorist case for the 30 July session

The Cairo Criminal Court, which was held at the Tora Courts Complex, decided to postpone the retrial of five suspects in the Al-Warraq terror cell case, accusing them of targeting police and public institutions. Two people, including police chief Amr Ezzat, were killed on July 30 to hear witnesses.
The session was held under the chairmanship of Chancellor Mohammed Saeed Al-Sherbini, and the membership of the advisors, Wajdi Abdel Moneim, Dr. Ali Amara, Secretary Ahmed Mostafa, Mohammed Al Jamal and Jamal Ahmed.
The prosecution has charged several counts, including possession of firearms, killing of civilians and policemen, joining a terrorist group established contrary to the law, and possessing inflammatory leaflets. On February 1, 2017, the Criminal Court of Giza, headed by Counselor Moataz Khafagy, sentenced the defendants to death, imprisonment and innocence.
