"Parliament forces" postpone the discussion of the draft amendment to the law of trade union organizations

The Labor Force Committee of the House of Representatives, headed by MP Jibali Maraghi, decided to postpone the discussion of the draft law submitted by the government to amend some provisions of Law 213 of 2017 on the issuance of the law of trade union organizations and protection of the right of union organization.
This came during a meeting of the Labor Party in the House of Representatives, on Sunday, after the request of some deputies to postpone the discussion for another meeting, after the completion of the discussion of the draft government in principle.
The bill allows workers in any establishment to form a trade union committee for at least 50 workers. It also gives workers in establishments with fewer than 50 workers and workers of professions and crafts the right to form a trade union committee at the city or governorate level. The number of its members shall be less than 50 workers, in partnership with other workers engaged in professional or handicraft groups, or similar industries, or linked to one another, or in a single production. The complementary and supplementary occupations of some industries within that industry shall be considered that matter.
The amendment also stipulates that the establishment of the General Union shall be composed of at least 10 trade union committees, with a membership of at least 15 thousand, provided that the union shall be formed of at least seven trade unions, with a membership of 150,000 workers. the least.
