Zamalek beat Al Ahly 6-0 and Egypt's Mokhtar Hafez Zaqqal [Hatriq], Abdul Karim Saqr [2 goals] and Mohsen Al-Shaimi [1944] scored the winner.
Zamalek also beat Ahly in 1992 with Ayman Mansour in the league championship.
