Dr. Shawki Allam, the Mufti of the Republic, strongly condemned the storming of the hundreds of Israeli settlers on the "Al-Aqsa Mosque" by the Israeli occupation police on Sunday, and the performance of their rituals and prayers in the Temple. And tomorrow.
In a statement issued Sunday, the mufti of the republic warned against continuing Israeli occupation plans to Judaize the occupied city of Jerusalem, alter its features and obliterate its true identity.
Al-Mufti called for the international community and international and regional organizations to intervene immediately to stop the Israeli aggression against Jerusalem and its holy sites. He also called on the Islamic and Arab world to all its organizations and international movements and all relevant UN organizations, especially UNESCO, to stop the implementation of Israeli plans, And occupied Jerusalem.
The excavations carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities, especially the so-called Israeli Antiquities Authority, are a serious threat to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of the ongoing Israeli attempts to Judaize Jerusalem.
Hundreds of settlers broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning on the occasion of the so-called "Shavuot" holiday, as successive groups of settlers stormed the mosque and performed the prayers inside.
