Ismailia Governor discusses the use of the African Nations Championship in activating tourism
The Governor of Ismailia, Hamdi Othman, discussed the executive mechanisms for investing Ismailia hosting one of the African championship groups for this year in activating and supporting tourism in the governorate and placing Ismailia on the international tourist map as part of preparations for Egypt to host the 2019 African Cup of Nations. From June 21 to July 19, which will be held in five provinces including Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia, Port Said and Suez.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Ahmed Essam, Deputy Governor, Eng. Abdullah Al Zoghbi, Secretary General of the Governorate, Major General Sami Allam, Assistant Secretary General, Major General Yasser Al-Ghandour, Assistant Director of Security, Mohammad Shiha, General Coordinator of Ismailia Group; Youth, sports, traffic, health, culture, housing and tourism, and a number of executive leaders and representatives of all concerned parties.
During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the measures taken and preparations for the tournament. The Governor of Ismailia stressed the importance of this great event, especially that the African Nations Cup is one of the major and most important continental tournaments awaiting the fans of football.
The governor also decided to put in place several tourism and entertainment programs for all participating teams and accompanying delegations from African countries. The guests of the province include organizing artistic and cultural activities as well as organizing a special program to visit all tourist sites, tourist attractions, tourist attractions and field trips for delegates to identify Ismailia's tourism features and marketing them Ambassadors of their country and the transfer of the beautiful image of Ismailia, and the tourist elements that qualify them to be a kiss for tourists.
