Chef committed suicide by throwing himself at sea to refuse his wife to return home in Alexandria
Shiv committed suicide by throwing himself in the sea yesterday evening at a beach in the Raml area east of Alexandria, while his family decided he was suffering from a bad psychological condition because of his separation from his wife, her stay with her family and her refusal to return home again.
Major General Mohamed El Sherif, Assistant Minister, Director of Alexandria Security, received a notification from Major General Sheriff Raouf, director of the Criminal Investigation Department, from the head of the Raml A police station, stating that a person had sunk to the sea on the coast of Glim, east and disappeared.
When asked by witnesses and beach workers, they said they were surprised by a person walking on the beach sands. They thought he was walking, but he slipped into the rocks and then went into the sea with all his clothes and disappeared.
The witnesses added that they failed to find any trace of the aforementioned, because of the darkness so they could not save him.
Immediately, the river rescue unit, which was able to retrieve the body after three consecutive hours of search, was called in. The examination revealed that a person named Waleed AS, 44, was working as chef chef, Department of the first sand police department.
When asked his family, they decided that the deceased was married and had 3 children. He was in a bad psychological condition because of his separation from his wife and her family.
They said that on the day of the accident he went to her in an attempt to persuade her to return home before the Eid, to reunite the family, but she refused, and they were likely to be the reason for his suicide.
The Public Prosecution was informed, and a report was issued on the matter. It decided to draw the forensic doctor to autopsize the body of the deceased and to authorize its burial after the forensic doctor had completed his mission. The Department of Criminal Investigation was ordered to investigate the incident.
