Amazon plans to deliver packages with new unmanned aircraft in months

Jeff Wilk, chief consumer officer at Amazon, said Wednesday (June 5) that the company has acquired a new jetliner that will be operational "within months."

Wilck said at a company conference in Las Vegas that the new marlin plane takes off and lands vertically like a helicopter, which is more stable than previous models and can detect moving objects better than humans, making them safe.

Wilk did not say where the new marathon would work, but Amazon had delivered some parcels by a British-bound plane since 2016.
