Security forces in the lake, led by Major General Majdi al-Qamari, the security director, launched an intensive campaign to control the markets and face the sale of expired food commodities in cooperation with the Directorate of Supply.
The campaign resulted in the seizure of two cars loaded with more than 3 tons dead expired poultry, packed in plastic bags near the village of Shapur of the center of Kom Hamada.
The campaign was supervised by Major General Mohamed Hendi, Director of Criminal Investigation, Engineer Kamal Rashid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, Col. Wajdi Al-Sirafi, Director of Supply Investigation, and Samir Al-Balkimi, Head of the Commercial Control Department, in preparation for referral to the Public Prosecution.
