Vodafone Egypt charges 10 million pounds for service interruption

The Egyptian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) on Monday signed a fine of 10 million pounds ($ 597.4 thousand) on Vodafone Egypt due to the interruption of telecommunications services for several hours on June 3.

The agency said in a statement that this was the first time that a company had been fined for the interruption of service.

"From now on, the NTRA will not hesitate to take all necessary measures and measures to ensure the quality and upgrading of telecommunications services provided to citizens," the agency said in a statement.
