Safaga Customs foils 3 attempts to smuggle customs to a quantity of electronic cigarettes

Safaga Customs Department, headed by Medhat Ragab Ahmed, General Manager of Safaga Customs, jointly with the Department of Criminal Investigation Department, managed to seize three customs attempts to smuggle a number of electronic cigarettes and their accessories, food supplements and contact lenses, in violation of the Pharmacy Law No. 127 of 1955 and Customs Law No. 66 Of 1963 and the Import and Export Law No. 118 of 1975 and its amendments, and the instructions issued in this regard.

In the first attempt, during the termination of the customs procedures on the goods from the port of Daba Saudi on the vessel Amana, the personal baggage certificate No. 6171 for the year 2019 was suspected in the name of the passenger. T. Q and loaded with the car number DT 893 / AD 643.

A total of 1490 electronic cigarettes, 6,000 electronic cigarettes and 223 lenses were found hidden inside 2 air conditioners and a personal luggage compartment.

In the second and third attempts, 47 packages of food supplements hidden inside the bags of two Egyptian passengers from Saudi Arabia were seized.
